Source policy
How KRUNG selects, verifies, links, and describes sources and primary documents.
Primary evidence
KRUNG prefers laws, budgets, court records, official statistics, procurement files, meeting records, original research, direct interviews, and on-the-record statements when they can support a claim.
Verification
A document being official does not automatically make every claim in it true. Reports should identify the issuer, date, language, relevant passage, and what the evidence does and does not establish.
Links and archives
Sources should link to the original publisher where practical. Archived links may supplement an original link but should not obscure its provenance. Paywalled or inaccessible sources should be described honestly.
Anonymous sources
Anonymity is reserved for information that matters, comes from a source positioned to know, and creates a credible risk if attributed. Editors should know the source's identity and explain the reason for anonymity where possible.
