Accuracy before speed
Reporters should verify material claims, use primary evidence where available, distinguish observation from inference, and state what could not be confirmed. Headlines and visuals must not overstate the reporting.
Fairness and context
People or organizations facing substantial criticism should receive a fair opportunity to respond when timing and safety allow. Responses should be represented accurately, without false balance between evidence and unsupported claims.
Attribution
Facts, quotations, data, and documents should be attributed clearly. Links should lead as close as practical to the original evidence. Anonymous sourcing requires an editor, a credible need for protection, and confidence that the source is positioned to know.
Uncertainty
Confirmed, disputed, estimated, and developing information should be labelled. KRUNG does not turn uncertainty into false certainty for a stronger headline.
Corrections
Material errors are corrected transparently under the corrections policy.
